About Nicholas Baker, JD, MBA
I am an Attorney and Business Strategist with a six-year track record of operationalizing AI for Fortune 500 enterprises. My work exists at the intersection of technical architecture and legal oversight, where I bridge the gap between ambitious AI innovation and enterprise-grade risk management.
Currently, I serve as an Enterprise Customer Success Manager at Credo AI, where I build enterprise-wide AI governance frameworks that align large-scale deployments with state, federal, and international regulations.
The Professional Intersection
I believe that for AI to be truly transformative, it must be durable. This requires a specialized lens that combines:
- • Legal Depth: As a member of the Minnesota State Bar, I provide formal legal credentials to support comprehensive oversight in areas like Intellectual Property, Data Privacy (GDPR/CCPA), and AI Governance (NIST/EU AI Act).
- • Technical Fluency: I am an expert in the technical architecture of AI workflows. My background includes hands-on experience in AI Lifecycle Management, metadata governance, and algorithmic bias mitigation.
- • Business Strategy: With an MBA and years of experience managing high-stakes, multi-million dollar portfolios, I understand the commercial imperatives that drive digital transformation.
My Mission
This site started as a side project to share insights from the field. Today, it serves as a platform for real-world observations on how to navigate the evolving regulatory landscape of Agentic and Generative AI without stifling innovation.
I am committed to helping organizations move beyond the experimental phase of AI by operationalizing compliance through risk classification schemas and technical guardrails.
Nick lives and works in Boise, Idaho. He is a licensed attorney in the state of Minnesota - holding an MBA from Boise State University and a JD from Franklin Pierce School of Law with a certificate in Intellectual Property.
